College
El proyecto de la Universidad Popular pretende crear un punto de relación para los vecinos del Cabañal, además de atraer gente para dar dinamismo al barrio.
The University project aims to create a meeting point for Cabañal neighbors, furthermore it will attract people to give dynamism to the neighborhood.

El acceso principal a la Universidad se produce por el Sureste de la parcela, recogiendo así el tránsito que viene del centro del Cabañal y la gente que viene del resto de Valencia en tranvía y del puerto por la calle Eugenia Viñes.
En torno a la entrada principal se congregan los usos más públicos como auditorio, cafetería, restaurante y sala de exposiciones.
The main entrance to the University is produced by the east of the plot, collecting the transit that comes from the center of the Cabañal, and people that comes from the rest of Valencia by tram and down by the street Eugenia Viñes from the Valencia's port.
Around the main entrance to the public are congregated the public uses, as an auditorium, cafeteria, restaurant and showroom.

LOCATION PLAN
La parcela en la que se ubica la Universidad Laboral se encuentra en el corazón del barrio del Cabañal. Se encuentra rodeada de la Lonja de Pescadores y la Casa dels Bous entre otros edificios representativos.
El enclave tiene otros atractivos fruto de su cercanía al mar y al puerto, como las vistas y las brisas marinas.
la trama urbana del Cabañal es una ordenación antigua y valiosa. El proyecto por tanto tratará de respetar las alineaciones y el verde del parque aledaño.
The plot on which the College is placed, is located in the heart of El Cabañal. It is surrounded by the fish market and the Casa dels Bous among other prestigious buildings.
The site has other attractions result of its proximity to the sea and the harbor, as the views and sea breezes.
The urban pattern of the Cabañal is an ancient and valuable. The project will therefore seek to respect the alignments and adjacent park.
IMPLANTACIÓN
IMPLANTATION
Las ideas iniciales de proyecto son:
-Se trazan dos ejes principales tomando como referencia las alineaciones de la Lonja: uno perpendicular a la misma, que forma el acceso principal, y otro paralelo a la misma.
- El eje paralelo a la Lonja conecta todos los paquetes funcionales entre sí.
- El edificio está formado por dos bloques: una pastilla y un bloque en L conectados entre sí por un corredor en planta primera. Cada uno de los bloques tiene un acceso independiente en planta baja.

He plotted two main axes with reference alignments of the Market, one perpendicular to it, which forms the main entrance, and the other parallel to it.
- The axis parallel to the Market connects all functional packages together.
- The building consists of two blocks: a bar and a block in L connected by a runner on the first floor. Each block has a separate entrance on the ground floor.

La idea del proyecto es partir del corredor como circulación principal que conecta dos bloques entre sí.
Las aulas se colocan a lo largo de un corredor perpendicular al principal. El corredor parte en planta primera de la zona de administración y termina en la biblioteca, que se coloca en una banda paralela a la alineación de la Lonja y que cierra el espacio exterior de relación propio de la Universidad que queda entre los dos bloques, y que se abre al Este y a la brisa marina.
The idea of the project is from the main circulation corridor connecting two blocks together.
The classrooms are placed along a perpendicular to the main corridor. The runner at first in the administration area plant and ends at the library, which is placed in a band parallel to the alignment of the Market and closes the outer space of the University's own relationship left between the two blocks, and that opens to the east and the sea breeze.

En cuanto a la biblioteca, se sitúa en el bloque paralelo a la Lonja, que cierra el espacio exterior propio de la Universidad. Posee dos plantas relacionadas mediante una gran doble altura con escalera representativa. Se trata de un espacio diáfano dividido en zonas con distintos usos derivados del de biblioteca, que se diferencian entre sí gracias al mobiliario, la orientación y la posición dentro de la propia pieza.
As for the library, it is in the block parallel to the fish market, which closes the outdoor space University. It has two floors related by a double height representative staircase. It is an open space divided into zones with different uses associates with the library, which differ from each other thanks to the furniture, the orientation and position within the piece itself.

Los cerramientos consisten, por una parte, en fachada ventilada con planchas de acero corten colgadas en montantes metálicos fijados a la hoja interior del muro, construida con ladrillo macizo. En otras fachadas, se trata de un muro cortina de vidrio con protecciones solares de lamas de acero corten, colocándolas en horizontal o en vertical dependiendo de la orientación.
The enclosures consist, on the one hand, in ventilated facade with corten steel plates hung on metal studs attached to the inner leaf of the wall, built of solid brick. In other facades, the enclosure consists on a glass curtain wall with louvered sunscreens made of corten steel, placed horizontally or vertically depending on the orientation.
